Strength training myths, no. 5 will shock you. Some of the myths I have heard as I interact with potential clients interested in fitness but have these thoughts that keep them off fitness.1.It’s for the young and sassy….Fact: Nope, it is for everyone, old and young too. Women, might keep you sassy even at an old age.2.It’s a “guy” thing.Fact: It is for women too, women do need to avoid muscular atrophy and osteoporosis and this can be achieved through strength training.3.It’s dangerous.Fact: Everything has some degree of danger, even just walking. We reduce the dangers by hiring a professional to help you do strength training right.4.I am too weakFact: Strength training helps you find your strength that you never knew existed in “YOU”. You are much stronger than you think!5.It burns fewer calories than cardioFact: Boosting your metabolism requires you lifting some form of resistance training like weight lifting will get you an increase in your lean mass translating to higher metabolism and burning more calories.#strengthtraining#myths#weightlossforwomen#fatlossPamboh by Janet - Wellness Redefined

Ladies, Let's Talk Strength Training (Especially After 30!)As women, we know the importance of taking care of ourselves. But after 30, our bodies start going through some changes. Did you know we can lose bone density at a rate of 0.4% per year by the age of 44? This can lead to increased risk of pain and fractures later in life. That's why strength training is a MUST for women over 30! Here's why:🦴Muscle Matters: Strength helps build and maintain muscle mass, which can prevent the decline that comes with age. This translates to better everyday activities and less fatigue!💪Strong Bones, Strong Body: Building muscle strength also improves bone density, reducing the risk of osteoporosis.⚡Metabolism Boost: Strength training can help keep your metabolism humming along, making weight management easier.♀️Injury Prevention: Strong muscles and bones mean a lower risk of getting hurt during exercise or daily activities. 🧠Mental Wellness Matters Too: Strength training can even improve your mood and reduce stress levels! The great news? Strength training doesn't have to be intimidating! Bodyweight exercises, resistance bands, and lighter weights are all fantastic options.Ready to prioritize your health and well-being? Let's get strong together!#StrengthTraining #WomensHealth #Over30Fitness #StrongIsBeautiful #Prevention #HealthyAging #FitnessMotivation

🛑 Warm-Ups are NOT optional‼️When we work together warm-ups are not optional; they are mandatory. Warm-ups shouldn’t be optional before any workout. They are a crucial part of a workout. A proper warm-up:🔸Prepares the body for what is about to come🔸Helps prevent injury 🔸Gives the brain time to warm-up. Mental preparation is just as important!🔸Improves circulation, which can increase the blood flow to your muscles and other tissues 🔸Helps you go through a greater range of motion when completing an exercise 🔸Improves overall performance🔸And much more!!!!!If you want progress in the gym or your sport make your warm-up a priority. It doesn’t need to be long and in depth. It doesn’t require any fancy equipment. Here are just a few warm-up exercises I use with my clients:🔸Standing knee hugs: they help open the chest, loosen the hips and add a balance element 🔸Walking butt kicks: they help loosen the quads and also work on balance🔸Banded pull-a-parts: help open the chest (great for those who sit in front of a computer), warm-up the back and the shoulders🔸Hinges: Prepare the body for exercises such as squats and deadlifts. They help warm-up and loosen the hamstrings, lower back, etc🔸Pelvic tilts: Great exercise to help learn how to “brace” for exercises that require stability. They also help realign the pelvis. 🔸Hip bridges: great for warming up and activating those glutes. Also another great bracing exercise. So, get the most out of the work you are putting in by warming your body up!#exerciseismedicine #healthcoach #fitnesscoach #movement #healthandwellness

Hi friends,_The Body's Incredible Adaptability During Strength Training_Just like to share with you an article, answering the question: " During heavy exercise, how do less-used organs (renal/digestive systems, as an example) handle the decreased blood supply? Is their consumption always proportional to the blood supply?"_During intense workouts, our less-used organs, like the kidneys, experience reduced blood flow as our bodies prioritize blood flow to the working muscles. But our bodies are well-adapted to handle these changes, allowing our less-used organs to function normally with reduced blood supply. Just like the different parts of a body work together, our organs, even the less-used ones, play crucial roles in maintaining our overall health. #StrengthTraining #Fitness #Health #BodyOfChristMore in https://qr.ae/pKon8H_May you be blessed._Please like, comment and share.Faithfully yours, Strength Training with Garyhttps://lnkd.in/gZW6vrqt
