Stormy sends infuriating message to Melania as Trump breaks silence on family in wake of verdict (2024)

A candid admission on who in his life lawfare has been “tougher on” came as former President Donald Trump’s wife was offered unsolicited advice on their marriage from Stormy Daniels.

Since Thursday’s verdict convicted the GOP leader as a felon on all 34 counts in his New York criminal trial, the campaign has boasted over $200 million in donations, which included more than $70 million from small donors. That political achievement came amid a genuine personal toll, a point Trump opened up about with regard to his wife and son, Melania and Barron Trump.

“So I think in many ways it’s tougher on them than it is on me,” the president explained during a Sunday morning interview with the co-hosts of “Fox & Friends Weekend,” Rachel Campos-Duffy, Will Cain, and Pete Hegseth. “They’re good people, all of them; everyone.”

Both his wife and his youngest child were roped into the criminal trial as business records central to the case over falsification were related to payments to adult film star Daniels, who alleged she had an extramarital affair with Trump not long after Barron’s birth.

“I have a wonderful wife who has to listen to this stuff all the time. They do that for this reason. They do that — all these salacious names that they put in of these people and I’m not even allowed to defend myself because of a gag order,” contended Trump before adding, “She’s fine, but I think it’s very hard for her… you know she has to read all this crap.”

Every bit the proud father, he remarked of his high school graduate son, “He’s amazing… he’s tall, good looking guy, he’s a very good student. He’s applied to colleges and gets into everywhere he goes. You know he’s very sought after from the standpoint, he’s a very smart guy — very tall guy and he’s a great kid. He’s cool. He’s pretty cool, I’ll tell you.”

Meanwhile, Daniels sounded off with her own suggestion for the former first lady as she dealt with the ongoing fallout of the verdict making its way through the appeal process.

“I don’t know what their agreement may or may not be, but Melania needs to leave him,” she told The Mirror in an interview. “Not because of what he did with me or other women but because he is a convicted felon.”

“It’s been proven he is abusive; he was found liable for sexual assault and tax fraud and is now a criminal. He’s neither Teflon Don nor Teflon Con anymore,” she added.

Despite the left’s glee in latching onto the “convicted felon” epithet, Trump maintained an air of resolve and contended that his incarceration would only be a detriment to the country, “I’m not sure the public would stand for it. I think it’d be tough for the public to take, at a certain point, there’s a breaking point.”

“What’s happened to me has never happened to anybody before,” he told the New York Post Friday, “but I march on. Some people say I’m a warrior, so I guess I am.”
