The auction is a celebration of a 40-year career that sawVan Halen sell nearly 100 million albums worldwide, makingthem one of the best-selling groups in the history ofmusic. Alex Van Halenâs place in the pantheon of rock ânâroll drummers is legendary. The incredible body of workthat he created alongside his brother Eddie ismemorialized in Van Halenâs historic catalog ofgenre-defining music. âI kept allthese drums, cymbals, heads, and all other kinds of gear,instruments, and road cases in my warehouse for decadesand it will bring me great pleasure to see them end up inthe hands of my fans and fellow drummers,â says Alex. âAportion of the proceeds will go to the Ride On TherapeuticHorsemanship charity to further support the services theyprovide to those in need.â Alex and his wife havebeen long time supporters of Ride On TherapeuticHorsemanship.
