How do you bet on NFL football for beginners?

For beginners, one of the simplest ways to bet on football is through a straight bet on the pointspread. In a straight bet, you pick a team, and that team must either win by a certain number of points (if they’re the favorite) or stay within a certain point range (if they’re the underdog).
